PUR Sandwich Panel
PUR Sandwich Panels consist of pre-painted galvanized steel (PPGI) facings bonded to a polyurethane (PUR) foam core in a continuous three-layer structure. PUR is the earlier generation of rigid polyurethane foam; its upgraded variant, PIR (polyisocyanurate), offers improved fire performance because it chars rather than melting and dripping under direct flame. PUR remains a cost-effective choice where a moderate fire rating is acceptable.
The closed-cell PUR foam traps low-conductivity gas in over 90 percent of its cell volume, giving the panel strong thermal resistance relative to its thickness. Galvanized steel skins with factory-applied paint protect against weathering, moisture, and minor chemical exposure, while the lightweight composite design keeps structural loads low and simplifies on-site handling.
Surface finishes are available in a wide range of RAL colors and profiles, including flat or micro-ribbed faces to suit architectural requirements. Standard tongue-and-groove or overlapping edge profiles speed up modular installation.
Common applications include industrial roofing, warehouse wall cladding, cold-storage enclosures, and temperature-controlled transport bodies. Panels attach to steel or timber substructures with self-drilling screws and EPDM sealing washers.
