Aluzinc sandwich panels use aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel (AZ150) as the facing material instead of standard galvanized steel. The AZ150 coating consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon, hot-dipped onto cold-rolled steel substrate. This composition provides significantly better corrosion resistance than pure zinc galvanizing — typically 2-3 times longer service life in outdoor environments.

The aluminum component forms a dense oxide barrier that blocks moisture and oxygen, while the zinc component provides galvanic protection at cut edges and scratches. AZ150 coated steel can be used unpainted in C3 corrosivity environments (urban and light industrial). For more aggressive environments, PVDF or polyester coatings are applied on top of the AZ150 base.

These panels are available with PIR, EPS, or rockwool cores depending on the insulation and fire performance required. Standard thicknesses range from 50mm to 200mm with effective widths of 950mm, 1000mm, and 1150mm. Facing thickness spans 0.4mm to 0.8mm.
