GRP XPS Sandwich Panel
The GRP XPS Sandwich Panel combines Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GRP) skins with an Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) foam core in a sandwich configuration, delivering thermal insulation and structural integrity for building and cladding applications. GRP skins range from 0.7 to 5.0 millimeters thick, with optional Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic (CFRT) sheets for enhanced impact resistance. The closed-cell XPS core, typically 35 to 50 kilograms per cubic meter in density, provides consistent insulation. Embedded aluminum, timber, or fiberglass profiles augment strength, while gel-coat surface treatments in customizable RAL colors add anti-ultraviolet, flame-retardant, and antistatic properties.
The panel’s low thermal conductivity minimizes heat transfer while maintaining lightweight handling characteristics. Its sandwich construction delivers high strength and compression resistance, with waterproof, moisture-proof, and corrosion-resistant performance. Additional features include weather resistance, impact resistance, and anti-mildew properties, ensuring durability across varied climatic conditions.
Applications include wall, floor, and roof panels in recreational vehicles, motorhomes, and caravans. Transportation uses encompass refrigerated truck bodies and trailer panels for temperature control. Marine installations feature interior partitions on yachts and cruise ships, reducing hull weight and improving fuel efficiency. The panel also serves cold storage facilities, mobile homes, and industrial buildings.
Advanced production capabilities enable CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining for precision cutting and customization up to 12 meters in length and 3.2 meters in width, with thicknesses between 10 and 120 millimeters. Glass Mat reinforced Thermoplastic (GMT) reinforcement layers enhance surface flatness and impact resistance.
