Aluminum Honeycomb Panel
Aluminum Honeycomb Panel features a three-layer sandwich structure combining two aluminum alloy face sheets bonded to an aluminum foam core. The face sheets utilize alloys such as 3003, 5005, or 1100 with thicknesses from 0.1mm to 2.0mm, while the foam core maintains density between 0.2g/cm³ and 0.7g/cm³ with 3-8mm pore diameter.
Standard panels range from 20mm to 100mm thickness, with widths of 1000mm, 1220mm, or 1500mm and lengths up to 5800mm. The lightweight foam core reduces building weight while providing thermal insulation (0.25-0.62 W/m·K thermal conductivity) and exceptional sound absorption rates of 60-90%. The closed-cell aluminum foam delivers Class A fire resistance and energy absorption up to 30 J/cm³.
Face sheets accommodate various surface treatments including brushing, anodizing, and pre-painting with Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF), Fluoroethylene Vinyl Ether (FEVE), or Polyethylene (PE) coatings in metallic, solid, wood grain, and stone patterns. Mechanical properties include compressive strength of 3-17MPa, bending strength of 3-15MPa, and electromagnetic shielding below 200MHz.
Applications span building facades, interior partitions, transportation vehicles, and aerospace components. The panels support standard woodworking tools and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining for custom shapes. Edge configurations include open, closed, or embedded aluminum extrusions for specific assembly requirements.
