Aluminum Foam Core Panel
Aluminum foam core panels combine two aluminum alloy skins with a lightweight foam core through lamination. Core materials include polyurethane (PU), extruded polystyrene (XPS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) foams, providing thermal insulation and weight reduction.
Panels are available in thicknesses from 20mm to 100mm, standard widths of 1000mm, 1220mm, or 1500mm, and lengths up to 5800mm. Aluminum skins range from 0.7mm to 1.0mm thickness, manufactured from 1100, 3003, or 5005 alloys. Surface treatments include polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE), or polyethylene (PE) coatings in various colors and finishes including metallic, wood grain, and stone grain patterns.
The foam core’s low thermal conductivity and typical density of 40 kg/m³ create excellent thermal insulation while maintaining a high strength-to-weight ratio. Aluminum skins provide moisture and corrosion resistance, ensuring dimensional stability and smooth surface finishes.
Applications include building façade cladding, interior partitions, roofing systems, and cold storage facilities. Panels accommodate flat or curved configurations with standard open edges, closed edges, or custom aluminum extrusion details. Standard woodworking tools, saws, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines enable straightforward processing and site customization according to project specifications.
