Agricultural Insulated Panel
Agricultural insulated metal panels combine two durable steel sheets with an insulated core, typically Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam or advanced QuadCore technology, delivering complete envelope solutions for barns, storage facilities, and poultry houses. These prefabricated components integrate insulation, structural support, and exterior protection into a single building system.
The panels maintain consistent indoor temperatures through high thermal resistance, with R-values reaching R-64 or higher depending on core material. Steel skins feature corrosion-resistant coatings, while the construction provides weather resistance, being windproof and watertight against agricultural elements. Thicknesses range from 1 to 8 inches, with widths between 24 and 42 inches for standard applications.
Panel configurations include corrugated profiles for traditional aesthetics and trapezoidal models for enhanced strength, suitable for walls, roofs, or partitions. Installation utilizes specialized fasteners attached to wooden or steel trusses, with factory assembly reducing on-site labor. The panels resist moisture, ammonia vapors, acids, mold, and mechanical impacts critical for farm environments.
Customization options encompass various colors and high-performance finishes like Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra, with interior profiles including shadowline or smooth surfaces. Manufacturers typically provide warranties up to 30 years for thermal performance and material integrity, while the panels’ recyclable materials and energy efficiency support agricultural sustainability goals.
