EPS Sandwich Panel
EPS Sandwich Panels combine an Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) core with metal facings for temperature-controlled construction applications. The EPS core forms through inflating micro-granular polystyrene with water vapor and pentane gas, creating tightly bonded granules with trapped air in closed-cell pores. Metal cladding options include pre-painted galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminum in RAL colors.
Available thicknesses range from 50mm to 200mm with standard 1120mm width and customizable lengths. The EPS core delivers thermal conductivity of approximately 0.038 W/mK, providing effective insulation for cold storage environments. The closed-cell structure resists moisture ingress and prevents fungal growth while maintaining lightweight handling characteristics.
Interlocking connection systems create airtight seals between panels through tongue-and-groove profiles or cam-lock mechanisms. Installation accommodates vertical or horizontal orientation with modular assembly that reduces labor time. Panels connect by fitting together and securing with fastening systems like Allen key-operated cam locks.
Primary applications include walls, ceilings, and partitions in cold rooms, freezers, food processing facilities, and pharmaceutical storage. The panels support temperatures from refrigerated to freezing conditions while meeting hygiene standards for food safety. Surface materials resist oils, chemicals, and solvents, inhibiting bacterial growth in sensitive environments.
