PVC Foam Core
PVC Foam Core delivers structural integrity, thermal insulation, and moisture resistance through its closed-cell architecture. This closed-cell structure provides inherent resistance to moisture, corrosion, and chemicals while maintaining consistent thermal performance and dimensional stability across diverse environmental conditions.
Manufactured through extrusion, the material achieves a fine, uniform cellular structure with consistent density and a closed-cell rate exceeding 99%. This results in low water absorption and high compressive strength. Properties are validated through ASTM standards for compressive strength, flexural strength, and water absorption.
Available in multiple densities and thicknesses, the core exhibits low thermal conductivity and defined flame spread ratings. Applications include wall and roof insulation systems, refrigerated transportation, marine components, and temporary structures where energy efficiency and moisture control are critical.
The material supports common processing methods including cutting, routing, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining. It bonds effectively with fiberglass, aluminum, and plywood using standard adhesives and vacuum compression molding. Compatibility with various resin systems, including vacuum infusion and hand lay-up processes, prevents excessive resin absorption while promoting optimal flow and venting during fabrication.
